You'll need to be prepared for an exciting, fast-paced environment with plenty of open debate.  Inside Sales

We are looking for our next rain maker. 

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving top of the funnel activity, qualifying inbound and outbound leads and closing deals. Every day you’ll be working with hit songwriters, performing artists, and their managers. You must have the flexibility to work with temperamental artists and the finesse to handle their hard-charging managers. 

You’ll work with an unbelievably broad range of people. One minute you’ll be talking to a songwriter who wrote the tracks you heard on the radio last week and the next you’ll be chatting with the head of a large independent record label. Most candidates will not succeed or thrive in this environment. But we hope you’re the one. Odds are against it though. 

The person who we hire will be hungry, aggressive, and flexible. Sales experience is a must. We prefer someone with face to face selling experience. Nothing helps you learn quicker than being told no, in person. And you’ll need to demonstrate experience “hunting.” Someone who gets handed a set of accounts to babysit and upsell is NOT a good fit for this role. If you have a proven track record of generating new business -- then we want to talk to you. 

Most of our sales happen on the phone. So if you’re not comfortable calling and closing, then this is not for you. But, we DO NOT cold call.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to... 

  • Qualify inbound and outbound prospects 
  • Create outbound campaigns using Sendbloom and PersistIQ 
  • Document phone/email communications w/prospects in Hubspot CRM 
  • Analyze and improve inbound marketing campaign 
  • Develop new prospect sources 
  • Create weekly reports on key metrics for exec team 

Compensation 

Base: $40k-$50k (depending on experience) + commission potential into 6-figures

Demand Generation Manager

We're looking for our first marketer at Royalty Exchange.

It's our first because we're picky.

You see, before we launched Royalty Exchange some of us ran huge performance marketing campaigns generating millions of customers in virtually every ad channel you can think of.

So, we know that most people who call themselves marketers don't know the first thing about building and executing ad campaigns that generate results.

But now, as the business has grown, we're looking for a skilled marketer to join our team lead our marketing efforts going forward.

The Demand Generation Manager (DGM) is responsible for delivering qualified leads to the sales team. As we continue to scale our sales team, we need a larger number of leads each week.

As the DGM, the responsibility for delivering a specified number of qualified leads rests firmly on your shoulders.

That's an extraordinary amount of responsibility — if that excites you — keep reading. If it makes you nervous, then this job isn't a good fit.

The person who we hire will be hungry, aggressive, and flexible. Demand generation experience is a must.

We know that marketing success comes from experimentation so you'll have a ton of freedom to experiment and test ANY channel that you reasonably believe has potential to work for our business.

In the beginning, you'll be focused on generating qualified leads on the supply side of our marketplace. That is — the songwriters and musicians who use our site to raise money. At some point, those responsibilities will likely shift to focus on acquiring more qualified investors.

What we need today looks vastly different than what we'll need in 6 months or a year. You'll have an opportunity to grow into a much bigger role as our business grows.

Here's what you must be able to do:

  • Write basic and effective short copy. We're not looking for Paul Simon or Bill Shakespeare but you must be able to communicate and persuade in clear, effective language. We'll ask for samples of your work.
  • Buy media. You must have experience buying media to scale marketing campaigns. And not brand campaigns — direct response ones. If you haven't spent more than $5,000/month on media that works, this is not a good fit. You must be comfortable creating ads and writing landing pages.
  • Measure, test and improve your campaigns. You must have experience running A/B tests and measuring the results. We'll expect you to run a lot of tests to improve the campaigns you create. If you've never done it before and don't know how to — this is not for you.
  • Be comfortable with analytics. Google Analytics experience is a must. You'll be looking at those numbers every single day so you can work to improve the effectiveness of our campaigns. You'll be expected to create daily, weekly, and monthly reports on your work.
  • Be creative and flexible. Our business is probably very different from past businesses you've worked for and your tried-and-true playbook may not work here. If it doesn't, you must be prepared to adapt and try new strategies to grow leads.
  • Use compelling content to drive new leads. You won't be writing much content yourself, but you must be familiar with content marketing so you can work with our editor to drive inbound leads as well.
  • Commit to a number of new qualified leads each month. Our sales team has quotas and so will you. You'll own the number.

Compensation

Our compensation package is negotiable based on your level of skill and experience. Stock options are available.
