Johannesburg is going to get very deliciously 'musical' this September as the most awaited music event in the African continent finally happens. The DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival takes centre stage on September 21 and 22 at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit with multi-platinum, multiple Grammy Award-winning icon Janet Jackson headlining a star-studded line-up of local and international acts that also includes the Grammy Award-winning neo-soul queen Jill Scott. Besides being among the largest events in terms of entertainment, the festival is a celebration of 30 years of creative freedom in South Africa.
A Musical and Cultural Weekend
It is a rare opportunity that brings international and South African artists together on one stage, celebrating 22 years of the musical wealth of South Africa. The powerful voice of Jill Scott, bringing meaning with her soul-filled lyrics to the forefront, is headlining Sunday, September 22, alongside leading South African acts such as the Soweto Gospel Choir and Sjava. It will also include A "30 Years of Creative Freedom Show" which features a cast of some of South Africa's most legendary musicians. Diverse lineup across two days
The headlining acts for the first day of the festival on Saturday, September 21st are Janet Jackson, Thandiswa Mazwai, and G-Force. Supporting acts include Boom Shaka, Khuli Chana, Yanga, Okmalumkoolkat, Robotboii, Reason, Maggz, Touchline, Cassper Nyovest, Morafe, and Focalistic.

The DStv Delicious Festival is a concert of sorts but is all-encompassing in music, culture, and food extravaganza, where people enjoy the finest talent on stage, manned by a satisfied taste bud with food from across the world. These combinations bring forth a unique fusion that places music and food lovers together in a sensory explosion. This musical event is about to turn into one not to be missed: the sound, culture, and food are combined into a lively, interactive setting. With Janet Jackson set to hit the stages in Johannesburg, she is ready to rock the city in a manner in which it has never been. Do not miss this great opportunity to join in on this amazing weekend of entertainment and cultural celebration.
Investing In Janet Jackson Songs
If you're a huge fan of Janet Jackson or just want to get started with music royalty investing, now you can do so on Royalty Exchange. On Royalty Exchange you can sign up as an investor and search through thousands of music catalog listings that include producer and songwriter royalties to some of the biggest songs of the past few decades.
Take this Janet asset listing for instance. The buyer paid $55.1k back in June, 2022 to acquire the lifetime rights of future earnings from the songwriter's cut of royalties from "Let's Wait Awhile". While they've held the catalog they've already collected $10.2k in earnings. That's a total yield of 18.5% already in just over 2 years. The great thing about investing in music catalogs is that their performance is independent of financial markets as people are always consuming music. One great thing about this catalog in particular is that it earns money from live performances so any time Janet plays the song as a show, the investor is earning money from it!
