Whoever said streaming and albums couldn't work together never met Jermaine Cole. The German-American rapper, who goes by J. Cole, returns to the top of the Hot Hitmakers following his latest album release, KOD, breaking streaming records and debuting at No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200.
But it's the songs themselves which are responsible for his return to our chart, with all 12 debuting on the Billboard Hot 100, 3 of which made the Top 10. With this feat, Cole joins the ranks of an elite group of artists; only 16 have achieved this feat before him. Even more impressive, all songs were written solely by Cole (with the exception of "The Cut Off" written with No. 20 debut Blvk) and not released prior to the full album, speaking to the plethora of streaming activity.
Jermaine initially debuted No. 1 on Hot Hitmakers in December of 2016 on the strength of his Billboard No. 1 new album 4 Your Eyez Only.
